A condolence letter on the death of Bozhidar Danev was sent, on behalf of the Economic and Social Council, by Lalko Dulevski. The letter addressed to the Bulgarian Industrial Association and to the relatives reads:

"We cannot believe that such an emblematic figure for the public life of Bulgaria has passed away. We lost a friend who showed humanity, finesse and thought in every situation. Bozhidar fascinated us with sophistication and knowledge, with his analytical thought and pragmatism, with his love of beauty and art. He transformed economic knowledge into an interesting science, transformed every conversation in the search of something new, and more than anyone he could look forward into the future. He wrote economic analyses as science and literature together. He transformed dark corridors into picture galleries. Business relationship with him became friendships.

When, in the Economic and Social Council, Bozhidar Danev spoke or defended his opinion, it was very difficult for someone to refute him. The media always expected news to come from him. His analyses and studies, made years ago, are still cited as topical and consensual now. With the loss of Bozhidar Danev, the Economic and Social Council has lost not only one of its founders and several times deputy chairman of the council, the Economic and Social Council has lost a friend, an advisor, a great mind. Without him, our sessions will no longer be the same.

Someone said that a whole era is now gone without Bozhidar Danev. I would add that with Bozhidar Danev we also lost a part of the future that he saw further and clearer than us.

May he rest in peace!
