ESC AND THE SAMOKOV MUNICIPALITY TO DISCUSS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE REALIZATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE

The Economic and Social Council (ESC) and the Municipality of Samokov organize a regional meeting-discussion on "Opportunities for realization of the young people in the Municipality of Samokov", which will be held on 9 November 2017, (Thursday) from 10.00 am, in the conference hall of The Arena Samokov Hotel.

The Forum will be attended by ESC President Prof. Dr. Lalko Dulevski, representatives of the Municipality of Samokov, the President of the Union of Bulgarian Teachers and ESC Member - Dr. Yanka Takeva, the Director of the Regional Office for the Management of Education, Sofia - Rositsa Ivanova, the Director of Employment Office, Samokov - Veneta Galeva, local businesses, students and teachers, as well as representatives of the trade unions, the municipality, NGOs, experts and others.

At the meeting the local government in dialogue with future graduates from the secondary schools in Samokov will present the vision for the development of the municipality and the opportunities for the realization of young people. Conversely, future graduateswill comment on their intentions for professional realization and ideas for changes in the municipality.

A working conversation is also planned with school principals, local authorities and heads of joint teams on the topic of involving children into the education system.

The ESC's mission is to promote civil society organisations access to and involvement in the process of decision-making on strategic economic and social issues.

The main goal of ESC's operation is to enable different representatives of organised civil society to feel free to state their views whereas unanimity on matters of common interest is encouraged. The Council expresses and protects civil society interests by communicating agreed statements and proposals submitted by its members to the executive and legislative authorities.
